Jan 01, 1970 · Charles Voight was best known for his renderings of pretty girls, especially in his popular 'Betty' comic. He also illustrated advertisements for firms like Rinso Soap. In 1912 he created the comic strip 'Mrs. Worry' (1912), which shouldn't be confused with the earlier and similarly titled 'Mrs. Worry' (1906) by John A. Lemon.

Aug 25, 2010 · Voight had drawn the syndicated strip, Betty, starting in 1920, but left the newspapers for comic books in '43.He died in '47, so there are only a few years worth of comic book work by him. I think his drawing is just great -- and this crazy story is a real treat.
