The Young Artists Competition is our oldest project and is a concerto competition for area secondary school musicians, ages 12 to 18. It was established in 1955 in partnership with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. This year, the Competition will unfold in two phases - a preliminary round via video submissions, and a final round via live performance.

Young Artists Competition. What: The Guild's oldest project (since 1955), this regional competition is for secondary school students ages 12-18. Volunteer opportunities are varied, including assistance at check-in, practice room monitoring, escorting participants to and from the performance area, facility set-up/take-down, providing refreshments, interfacing with judges and serving on the awards committee.
