Claude T.Stanfield Moore. 1853 - 1901 . Claude T. Stansfield Moore specialised in painting landscapes and seascapes but perhaps he is best known for his river scenes of the Thames. Moore exhibited pictures at the Suffolk Street Galleries, and his works are represented at The Nottingham Art Gallery, including a painting entitled 'Beating up The Thames'.

Claude T. Stanfield Moore was born in Nottingham but spent a considerable time in London painting scenes of the river Thames and moved to London in 1882. He was the son of Thomas Cooper Moore (1827-1901) with whom he collaborated on this picture.
