About Me. Hi World! I'M Dan McCarthy. It was a trip with my grandparents when I was 16 years old that would influence my relationship with nature for the rest of my life. In the span of a few weeks, I was exposed to The Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, and the giant redwood forests of California. The one place that struck me most though, was Yosemite National Park.
