For the exhibition Sanctuary, SOHO20 member artist Darla Bjork presents two new bodies of work, both engaged in various states of anxiety and meditation. Her work has evolved from abstract portraits that reflected her “other life” as a psychiatrist when she was working with people in mental institutions to her present weaving series influenced by her childhood in rural Minnesota and now by the view of the Catskill Mountains from her studio in Woodstock, NY.
