Sep 14, 2017 · David Kelly. Artist. Born in Mulanje, Malawi, David Kelly was educated in Zimbabwe, finishing his education in 1975. He went on to pursue a more conventional career first in Insurance and then as a sports teacher. After six years of realising that he was dissatisfied with his career choices, David decided to become a full-time artist.

David began painting during his childhood and became a professional artist in 1983. He spends time living and working in one of Malawi's foremost national parks - The Liwonde - where he paints and organises safaris in order to share his enthusiasm and passion for his native land.
