Minnie was born in Kentucky, March 13, 1934 to John & Mona Skaggs Woolridge. She married Garland Adkins in 1952. (Garland passed away Nov. 6, 1997) Her rise to fame began on a trip to town and a visit to a local Art Gallery owned by Adrian Swain in Morehead, Ky.
