Dennis Burton was an art educator as well as an artist. He taught painting and drawing at the Ontario College of Art (1970-1971), was Director of the New School of Art (1971-1977). Burton taught at the Banff School of Fine Arts (1974), University of Lethbridge (1976 & 1989) and the Emily Carr College of Art and Design from 1980 until his retirement in 1999.
