Don Porcaro was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1950. He received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and a MFA in Sculpture from Columbia University. May 20, 2013 · Don Porcaro grew up in New Jersey and has lived and worked in New York City since 1974. He earned his BFA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his MFA in Sculpture from Columbia University. Porcaro has been a professor at Parsons The New School for Design since 1985 and was Chair of the Fine Arts Department from 2003-2008.
