Born in Auckland, New Zealand on October 28 1981, Dwayne began his life in art at an early age. By age 10 he was a devoted sketcher, painter and sculptor. As a junior student at Dilworth Boarding School he was excelled to the senior level in his arts and completed his high school education two years early with university entrance in painting, printmaking and graphic design.

A completely self taught artist Dwayne picked up the paint brush at 5 years old and began creating his own visual language in which to communicate his visions to family and friends. At the age of 10 he began sculpting large pieces of artwork out of clay in his garage studio - generating large life like busts weighing as much as 50kg and then would have them stone fired in a kiln.
