Émile Munier, 1840-1895, was a French academic artist and student of realism painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau. He painted artists' portraits for Bouguereau, Gérôme, Vinel and Schreyer, in 1889, now in the New Orleans Museum of Art. During the 1890s Émile Munier continued to paint peasant, mythological and religious subjects.
