Ed Diers artist. 1925. Rookwood introduced the "vellum" glaze in 1904; it is characterized by a matte surface with slightly "frosted" appearing decoration beneath. This is a beautiful piece. A hole was drilled in the bottom and then subsequently corked decreasing its value dramatically.
