Biography Edward Angelo Goodall was the eldest son of Edward Goodall, an engraver of JMW Turner’s works and brother of the artists Walter, Eliza and Frederick Goodall. He was apprenticed to his father as a line engraver but decided in his teens to become a painter. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy, first showing there in 1841.

Edward Angelo Goodall (8 June 1819 - 16 April 1908) Son of Edward Goodall the engraver, and brother of Frederick and Walter Goodall. He is a resident of London, and has been for some years a member of the Society of Painters in Water-Colors, of which he was elected Trustee in 1875.

Edward Angelo Goodall was born in London on 8 June 1819, the son of Edward Goodall (1795-1870), a line engraver who engraved J. M. W. Turner’s works, having earlier exhibited as a landscape artist at the Royal Academy. Edward Goodall’s artistic talents were passed on to his children; five of his ten children became artists.
