One of the most significant composers of the Edwardian Era was Samuel Coleridge-Taylor who died on 1 September 1912 aged 37. His most famous composition was the Hiawatha Suite (1899-1900), though his large musical output also included incidental music for plays produced by Beerbohm Tree.
