Artist Statement. I am a graduate of Glasgow School of Art specialising in Embroidered and Woven Textiles. Over the years I have developed my love for painting, in particular watercolour, but I find that I am always drawn back to using fibres as a medium. Recent textile pieces reflect my passion for colour and layering of textures using print, hand and machine stitch and collage techniques.

Artist Statement. Lately I have been using my garden and familiar places as well as the sea shore as inspiration. My work still incorporates felt, a medium which allows me to paint with fibre, but I am using more paint and stitch with print combined with other non-textile elements such as wire, netting, wood and paper, building up layers of texture and colour.

Artist Statement I am investigating stitch resist in a more contemporary way using natural dyes such as Indigo as well as the conventional chemical dyes. I also want to incorporate paper as in Joomchi, with stitch and dye which I use in wall hung work and the book format.
