About the Artist. Elizabeth Freeman, born in Toledo, Ohio, grew up embroidering. Her Mother, Aunt, and Grandmother are all excellent stitchers who taught her well. Elizabeth stitched her first stamped-cross-stitch piece at age 7. She has been exploring embroidery ever since.
