Jun 28, 2011 · Just joined forum, as bought a used EJ200NA that looked enticing, and I was told by 'salesman' has a solid top. After researching a bit, finding this site, etc., I learn they aren't supposed to, that it is a laminate - select. But visually, the edges of the sound hole sure look solid, with the grain running over the edge.

Jan 16, 2012 · There is no EJ-200 "solid top" guitar, I'm quite sure of it. You might be thinking of the EJ-300S model I mentioned, which has a solid spruce top and laminate rosewood back & sides. The Epiphone EJ-200 guitars are all 100% laminate.
