Oct 18, 2016 · V1 of the MIX got upgraded encoders and became V2, V2 then became the AVID MIX once Avid purchased Euphonix, Avid changed the color of the plastic on the newer version but there was no component change.

Feb 10, 2016 · There did appear to be a quality control issue with the Artist controllers however Avid responded on gearslutz that they have made improvements to the design to the tops don't crack like the old silver Euphonix MC and they did a couple of other things to improve the quality. So it seems they have moved in the right direction.
