Evelyn Mary Dunbar (18 December 1906 – 12 May 1960) was a British artist, illustrator and teacher. She is notable for recording women's contributions to World War II on the United Kingdom home front, particularly the work of the Women's Land Army. She was the only woman working for the War Artists' Advisory Committee on a full-time salaried basis.

Artwork page for ‘Winter Garden’, Evelyn Dunbar, c.1929–37 Dunbar's parents lived at Strood near Rochester in Kent and this picture is a record of their garden. Between 1929 and 1933 the artist attended Rochester Art School, Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London and remembered that this painting was begun before arriving in London as an art student and finished off around 1937.
