Jul 16, 2011 · Hoping all you Foobar experts can help a complete newbie with this. Is there a quick and easy way to have Foobar sort artists by last name when the Artist tag is spelled out regularly (e.g., Tim Hecker sorted under "H" instead of "T"), and for bands with "The" in front of their name by the letter after "The" (e.g., The Flaming Lips sorted under "F" instead of "T")?

May 08, 2019 · To make a playlist from the Library, you can right-click on the Artist / Album / Tracks you want > select Send to New Playlist. Or to make a brand new empty playlist, just hit File menu > New Playlist. Once you switch to that playlist (automatic) or start playing from it, it becomes the active playlist.

Jun 07, 2010 · I did not figure out how to get rid of the "the" in the playlists tabs, it just does not appear in the library viewer (facets_ui in this case which give foobar an itunes like interface), which should satisfy the need to find an artist quickly in most cases.
