Nov 05, 1987 · Frances Alexandra Mabel Letitia (Frankie) Derham (1894-1987), artist and art educator, was born on 15 November 1894, at Malvern, Melbourne, daughter of Irish-born parents Joshua Thomas Noble Anderson, engineer, and his wife Ellen Mary, née White-Spunner.

Although known mainly for her work in child art education, Frances Derham was also an accomplished artist. As a child she was considered talented and attended art lessons in New Zealand (1902) and Ireland (1906–07) as her father, a civil engineer, supervised various projects.
