Born in 1932, Gerry Wright studied in Maidstone and London and at the Beaux Arts Paris. In 1968 he moved to Wiltshire and the landscape formed the background to, and the inspiration for, many of his paintings. Gerry was fascinated by the Golden Age of cricket and his work culminated in the publication of 'Cricket's Golden Summer' in 1985.
