    Gjoa Haven, Nunavut Territory, Canada Wayne comes from a family of artists, his grandfather (Nelson Takkiruq) is a well known carver of Gjoa Haven, and his grandmother (Mary) does sculpture and wallhangings. His parents Uriash and Lorraine Puqiqnak are both carvers. Lorraine also works on jewellery and crafts.
