Graham Oldroyd (1953-) was born in Bulli, NSW, a northern suburb of Wollongong. From 1972-3, he studied ceramics at East Sydney Technical College (ESTC) and the Canberra School of Art, developing a research interest in Islamic ceramic forms and glazes which he shared for many years with Alan Peascod. In 1974, he set up a studio at Wombarra, NSW.
