Jul 09, 2009 · The Hamer Artist is much closer to a Les Paul than a 335. I don't think the 339 is comparable to the Artist. I have an Artist with p90's and one with humbuckers. I love them both. But I have a Gibson ES333 for semi-hollow tones. So if you are looking for semi-hollow tones, I say go for the 339 not the Hamers.
