Nov 29, 2020 · The good: Terrific vintage carve neck, beautiful finish, stays in tune, sounds woody, powerful, mid-rangey like a P90 guitar should. The okay: some fret wear in the cowboy chord area as well as some wear through the clearcoat on the bass side of the neck there.

Jun 12, 2009 · I have an Artist with Humbuckers and recently sold one with P90's. I currently also own a Gibson R6 and have played many GEM series Les Pauls. Even though the Artist has F-Hole on the top (bass side) the guitar really gets more of a soild body tone. Maybe the bass strings are a little softer in the attack, but not by much.
