Hans Tisdall. Hans Tisdall studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, coming to live in London in 1930. He paralleled his work as a muralist with textile design and with teaching at Central (1941-2 and 1947-62). He also did many book jackets and illustrations, noted for their typography. German by origin, once resident in England Tisdall developed his love of the sea and boats and discovered Hastings.
