Thomas Harold Beament was awarded the Auxiliary Forces Officer’s Decoration in 1943. He retired from the Naval Reserve in 1947 and resumed a full-time career as a professional painter. He had two solo shows at Laing Gallery in Toronto (1948 and 1949), and travelled extensively through Britain, the West Indies, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Panama, the Southern United States and throughout Canada as well.
