Harold Steward Rathbone. Born 10 May 1858. Died 12 December 1929. Active: 1881 - 1911. Country of birth and death: England. Artist, painter, sculptor. Born in Liverpool. Son of Phillip Rathbone (born c.1824 in Liverpool), an insurance broker. The Rathbones were one of Liverpool's pre-eminent Liberal families and were noted philanthropists.
