Oct 03, 2007 · There is nothing wrong with a heavy-handed artist. It hurts a bit more, but if the tattoo is in there/on there then who cares? It's a tattoo -- it's going to hurt anyway and you're going to heal just fine. If the artist does his best work in a heavy-handed way then what's a little pain?

Tattoo scarring is largely unfixable and artists need to be extremely careful if they're tasked with covering up a scarred tattoo.
