The hike from Bagley Lake, going on to the Chain Lakes and Artist Point, is probably the most stunning hike I've ever taken. It is long, though-- we saw people starting at the Chain Lakes, which we probably do next time. The water is this gorgeous, gorgeous, Lake Tahoe blue.5/5(25)

Gorgeous Artist Point is the place we always take visitors from out of town, since we are fortunate to live nearby. The majestic Mount Baker is gorgeous throughout the year, although we typically visit in spring, summer and fall. A beautiful place to hike, walk, or simply have a picnic.5/5(25)

When it comes to hiking, the best time to experience Mount Baker is the month of August. The snow has melted, and the weather is fantastic. But some people still hike in the winter months. A very popular winter hike which I talk about below is the Artist Point hike.
