An artist and educator born in Guyana, South America and raised in Boston, Marlon Forrester (b. 1976, Georgetown, Guyana) makes artworks that take the representations and uses of the Black male body as a central concern.

Taylor Davis, known for her minimalist plywood sculptures and installations, was the 2001 recipient of the ICA Artist’s Prize. Davis work draws on a unique combination of a minimalist tradition of American sculpture, represented by artists such as Jackie Winsor and Mary Miss, and a personal, autobiographical concern with the forms of rural architecture and landscape.
