Jul 22, 2017 · With the old setup pre Apple Music, you could set this under settings>music>group by album artist>off. Then if you went into Artists, all the artists you had would show up - you would select the artist, and it would show all the albums on which that artist appeared. That option is gone now. Anyone know if it's possible to fix that?

On your iPhone, can you pull up the songs under Compilations? Check the album info on iTunes on your computer. If it somehow got tagged as a 'compilation' (which could very easily be the case, given how hip-hop as a genre is prone to multiple compilations on albums.) then de-select this as an option, make sure it's listed with Chance as the Album Artist and this may solve your problem.

I only looked at the album list, and there it shows Various Artists under the thumb, but not when opening the album. Then it, as for you, shows a random artist name from the album. It also shows a random artist name for an album mixed by a MOS-DJ, his name is in the album artist field, but each track still has it own track artist.

Going to View -> View Options under the Artists view and toggling the Group Compliations box. Switching to the Songs view and playing with the settings under View -> Column Browser. Erasing Various Artists from the Album Artist field and leaving it blank instead.
