Sep 15, 2017 · The majority of these do show correctly but some are showing under Various Artists rather than in the bottom compilations section. In any case, check your iTunes settings under "View/ Column Browser/ Group Compilations" and "(same)/Use Album Artists". Maybe alter those settings to see if that changes things to your liking.

1) Get rid of the Album Artists field altogether, select all tracks and Get Info. Set the Album Artist field to blank, meaning song are grouped solely by their Artist and not Album Artists. The songs in the various artists albums will still be linked by the album name if you just want that album.

Jan 07, 2020 · I think I’ve discovered a work around for the Various Artists issue. At least it has been holding for three days without reverting back to Various Artists. The Problem: Compilation albums correctly indicate the album contains ‘Various Artists’. The songs contained in the album all present the artist name as “Various Artists” even though the data field for ‘track artist’ lists the artist by name.

I vaguely remember having to uncheck and recheck the compilation box in order for it to sync correctly with VA showing.

Sep 24, 2013 · The way I do it is right click on get info (in iTunes) then select whichever box is appropriate for how I want things displayed. If the info is not there just type it in and check mark it. I've don't this with all my "various artists" albums because it drives me crazy when they're split up.
