Jul 03, 2010 · If you don’t regularly use the “Compilations” menu on your iPod classic, then the simplest solution may be to simply turn it off by going to your iPod Settings section and ensuring that it is unchecked under both the Main Menu and Music Menu sections. This will disable Compilation support on the iPod entirely, treating all tracks the same whether they are listed as “Part of a Compilation” or not.

Jul 26, 2018 · Had the same issue. Did the above-mentioned iPod menu change (to do with compilations), then went into the playlist for my iPod, selected all songs, clicked info, and found under one of the tabs a box to click "this is part of a compilation" or something like that. Un-checked for all, and now all my albums show up under their respective artists!

Oct 28, 2016 · It was my understanding that if something was checked as a compilation, it would not be listed under artists unless there were other albums by that artist already on the ipod. And if not, it was listed under the Compilations folder of the ipod. At least this is how it was with the ipod classic.
