1) Get rid of the Album Artists field altogether, select all tracks and Get Info. Set the Album Artist field to blank, meaning song are grouped solely by their Artist and not Album Artists. The songs in the various artists albums will still be linked by the album name if you just want that album.

Oct 28, 2016 · It was my understanding that if something was checked as a compilation, it would not be listed under artists unless there were other albums by that artist already on the ipod. And if not, it was listed under the Compilations folder of the ipod. At least this is how it was with the ipod classic.

Jan 15, 2016 · I have always had Various Artist listed in the album artist section for soundtracks and the actual artist if it was a compilation by one artist. However, within the last 2 two weeks when I view "Artist" in the Playlist tab, I get a long list for Various Artists which used to be complied together via whatever soundtracks, etc. they're on.

Check the album info on iTunes on your computer. If it somehow got tagged as a 'compilation' (which could very easily be the case, given how hip-hop as a genre is prone to multiple compilations on albums.) then de-select this as an option, make sure it's listed with Chance as the Album Artist and this may solve your problem.

Sep 01, 2015 · If it's a compilation of multiple artists, this should be set to Various Artists. There is a check box that says that the album is a acompilation. Make sure it is set the same way, most likely checked, for all tracks. Finally, check the Sorting tab and make sure the Sort As field is the same for both the album and album artist tags.
