Ivy Shore (14 January 1915 – 25 August 1999; known as Billie Shore; born Ivy Williams) was an Australian painter. Ivy Shore was a good friend of the artist (and Archibald Prize winner) Henry Hanke, and regarded him as one of her major influences. She loved his work. Hanke went to Milne Bay as an official Australian war artist soon after the Japanese defeat in 1942, and he painted this scene of supplies being unloaded at Gili Gili Wharf in Milne Bay.
