james downie 1949 - present. James was born in Manchester, He went to school in South Manchester and was always interested in art spending many hours in the galleries of Manchester and Salford studying the old masters. On leaving school he went into the building trade but in 1972 he decided to work in Cornwall for the summer season, he obviously enjoyed his visit as he still lives there today.
