A native of Southern California, James Galindo was born in Palm Springs in 1983. He began his formal training at Laguna College of Art and Design in 2001 and received his MFA in Painting in 2009. He currently works and lives in Laguna Beach where he teaches drawing and painting at Laguna College of Art + Design and Saddleback College.
