James Kerr, an artist and art educator for over 20 years, has taught at Niagara Falls Art Gallery, the Pumphouse, Rodman Hall, Rose City Seniors Centre, and Pelham Art Club. He founded and participates in “Art by the Lighthouse” in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham’s Annual Art Show and Sale, and is Past President of the Parkway Artists Guild.
James P. Kerr. About the Artist. James P. Kerr was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1953. He studied oil painting with Laszlo Szabo from 1964-1970 and Carl Illig in 1971. James has lived in Massachusetts, North Carolina and Florida, first visiting Palm Beach County in 1976 for a painting trip. The past twenty-three years he has lived in Delray Beach.

Jul 22, 2019 · Kerr is the latest artist to be featured at Arts Place Gallery in Port Colborne. His show is called Between Womb and Tomb and it encompasses everything Kerr has done with his career as an artist. One thing he said he’s learned over the last six decades is to not worry too much about how long any particular painting takes to complete.

It was a blessing that his daughter, Susan, was able to hug and kiss him just as he entered the hospital. Through his entire life he knew love and freely gave his love.
