History. James Stroud studied printmaking in Paris with legendary printmaker Stanley WIlliam Hayter at Atelier 17 and, later, with Gabor Peterdi at the Yale School of Art. In 1984 he founded Center Street Studio where, as director and master printer, he publishes print projects in etching, woodcut and monotype with both established and emerging artists.

Jeff Perrott is a painter who earned his MFA in painting from the Yale School of Art in 1992. His first project with Center Street Studio was a series of etchings in 1998. Since then, he has concentrated on the more painterly medium of monotype in several projects with master printer James Stroud (see his Dervish, Assemblage and Structure series on his artist page) .
