Jayne Lawrence is a mixed media artist specializing in sculpture and drawing. She worked as a commercial artist in Denver, Colorado and relocated to San Antonio, Texas in the early 80’s. She received her BFA and MFA in Sculpture from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she has been teaching since 2000.

Jaye Lawrence sculpture is made from sticks, twigs, mud, and clay gathered from the desert and held together with wire, screws and nails. Her approach to Fine Art Sculpture mirrors that of primitive arts both in the USA and abroad. She will never talk about technique but instead chooses to discuss mood, feelings, and issues.
