Jeffery Camp studied at Lowestoft and Ipswich Schools of Art between 1939 and 1940, and subsequently at Edinburgh College of Art under William Gillies from 1941 to 1944. He was awarded an Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship in 1944 and 1945, and a David Murray Bursary for landscape painting in 1946.
