Jerry Jordan’s first—and lasting—impressions of Taos and the surrounding northern New Mexico landscape came, almost literally, through the eyes of the early Taos painters. It was May 1963. Jordan was 19, and his father was following the advice of Jerry’s art teacher in Brownfield, TX, near the family farm where Jordan grew up.
