Performance still: Art Month Sydney, National Art School, Sydney. As a group of massed bodies these woman worked together to fill space, change geography and architecture and move viewers in the site. This grouping of woman happened for several minutes, every 15-20 min, over a period of 1.5 hrs.

Whalen taught art in public schools and at Niagara County Community College for nearly thirty-five years, and also gave private lessons in his summer studio at Olcott Beach. He also spent four summers in the medical illustration department at Roswell Park, and three summers in the Cornell lab in the technical illustration department.
