John Glover (18 February 1767 – 9 December 1849) was an English-born Australian artist during the early colonial period of Australian art. In 1786 he was appointed writing master at the Free School in Appleby, Westmoreland (now Cumbria), during which time he often travelled to London to see exhibitions and take painting lessons from William Payne and John Smith. In 1794 Glover moved to Lichfield, Staffordshire, where he made a living as a painting and drawing master.
