Forty years after giving up a successful university career in commercial art, John Young began his artistic odyssey again at age 64. The forty year hiatus in business was not a total loss. Business required extensive travel to many parts of the world. His camera and his wife as a model turned many a trip into imaginative collage albums.

John Young Zerunge was born in Hong Kong in 1956 and moved to Australia in 1967. He read philosophy of science and aesthetics at the University of Sydney and then studied painting and sculpture at Sydney College of the Arts, specifically with the conceptual artist Imants Tillers and musical prodigy (the late) David Ahern.
