About Kathleen McPhail. Bruce and kathleen have travelled extensively around the world therefore they know how important it is to have a comfortable, safe and welcoming place to call your home when you are miles away from it! They are both business owners and grew up on Vancouver Island. Kathleen is a painter and you will notice many of her art works decorating the cottage.

Karen McPhail Karen graduated from Glasgow School of Art with first class honours then completed a post-graduate in ceramics in 1990. Since then she has worked on numerous art education projects and, while her three children were young, ran a pre-school nursery.
