An important early influence in the work of Keith Boyle was a teacher in high school in Ohio, who set up an art "major" for interested students. He later attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at University of Iowa.

Artist Bio. Keith Boyle was born in 1930 in Defiance, Ohio. He attended both the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. Boyle taught at Stanford for many years before retiring to Southern Oregon where he and his wife tended to a flock of colored sheep with their Australian Shepard Dogs until Boyle’s death in 2002.

Keith Boyle was born in Defiance, Ohio on February 15, 1930. He studied at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and received his BFA at the University of Iowa, where he studied printmaking with Mauricio Lasansky. Boyle moved to the Bay Area in California in 1960.
