Kerrie Poliness was one of a vanguard of young artists who contributed to a resurgence of abstract art in Melbourne in the late 1980s. Their nesting ground was an innovative artist-run space in the inner-city suburb of Prahran called Store 5. It was co-founded by Poliness and fellow artist Gary Wilson and ran from April 1989 to December 1993.
